West Chester United Methodist Church,
Chester County

This 12,000 square-foot, three-story addition was a design/build project with Cornerstone Design Architects and Horst Construction. The steel-framed addition required underpinning the original church and a 1960's addition, and adding bay windows to match the original church and passageways into both existing buildings. Renovations included reinforcement of the original timber-framed roof for RTU's and reframing of the 1960's roof to create a vaulted ceiling. Construction was completed in 2002 for approximately $3.4 million.

Salvation Army, Lebanon, PA

The Salvation Army plays a central role in the social services network of Lebanon County. This project included a 10,000 square-foot addition plus minor renovations to the existing facility. The team included Beers & Hoffman Architects and contractor Arthur Funk & Sons, both integral members of the Lebanon community. The construction cost of $1.2 million was largely funded by a bequest from a grateful World War II veteran. Greenebaum Structures, P.C., takes pride in such community-centered projects.

Congregation Beth Or, Upper Dublin, PA

This was the third and largest synagogue project we completed with Callori Architects. The first was Lancaster's new 17,000 squarefoot building for Congregation Beth El; the second was Lower Merion Synagogue's 21,000 square-foot addition/renovation in suburban Philadelphia. Congregation Beth Or was a new 100,000 square-foot building costing in excess of $6 million. Structural systems included structural steel framing with steel joists in the assembly spaces, both Hambro and conventional steel joist floor framing, reinforced concrete basement, steel stud curtain walls and light-gage steel roof trusses. The synagogue was occupied in late 2005.
