Environmental Recovery Corporation,
Lancaster, PA

Tippetts/Weaver Architects designed this
facility to recycle waste oil into a "green"
product. Housed in a pre-engineered metal
building are storage silos for wood chips,
pits for processed oil and loading/unloading
facilities. Structural challenges included a
high groundwater table, footings adjacent
to a pre-existing building and containment
walls. Construction by Caldwell, Heckles
& Egan was completed in 2003 at an
approximate cost of $658,650.
