Private Residence, Millersville, PA

This two-story, 5300 SF residence is nestled into a river-view site. Designed by Cox Evans Architects with a European flavor, the layout provides a private courtyard between the kitchen and garage and an additional garden courtyard off the living room loggia. Second floor bedrooms are carved into the steep roof with dormers providing the required spaces. Gallagher Construction, Inc. completed work in 2004.

Historic Fairmount Apartments, York, PA

This project restored eleven Victorian homes on North Beaver Street to their original splendor. GS' structural condition review found serious structural weakness in several buildings including dry rot, termite damage, water infiltration and settlement. Our design included repair of weakened structure, replacement of demolished portions and reframing to accommodate new space utilization. We assisted Tippetts/Weaver architects in the construction documents and construction phase review. Renovations by Wagman Construction were completed in 2005.

Waverly Court Apartments,
Gettysburg, PA

Designed by LeFevre Funk Architects and built by E.G. Stoltzfus Construction, this nine- building apartment complex is typical of several projects completed by GS that have been funded through use of low-income housing tax credits. This project includes 46 two- and three-bedroom townhouses and handicap-accessible flats. Conventional timber framing is code-compliant yet economical to meet the target PHFA unit cost. Total construction cost was $4 million.
