Log Cabin Road Residence,
Lancaster County, PA
Situated on a generous rural site in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, this Tippetts/ Weaver project included new construction of a single-family residence. The structure was conceived as an assemblage of multiple heavy-timber frames radiating from the central living space. The building is situated on a bluff with sweeping views of the landscape, as well as natural light and sun exposures to the interior and exterior living spaces. Heavy stone paving surfaces and tree elements, reclaimed from the site, weave through the perimeter walls diminishing the separation from interior. Greenebaum Structures provided structural engineering design and analysis for this one-of-a-kind residential project.
